About Me, A Human

Greetings.

I come in peace, don’t fret. I’m just a thirteen year old human girl with glasses and a pair of knee socks. My name is Ellie Shackelford, pronounced Ell-ee Shack-el-ford, and I hail from a rather large town called “Aurora,” which is very near the city of “Chicago.” That’s in America, on Earth. You’ve heard of it? That’s splendid! Reading and writing are two of my very favorite things to do, along with drinking a liquid called “tea,” which comes in several different flavors, but my favorite is Lady Grey and Chai. I love music and singing, and a few of my favorite films (Films are moving pictures that aren’t actually real.) are the The Sound of Music, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (both versions), and Mary Poppins. All of those moving pictures, “films”, are musicals, which are moving pictures that use songs to tell some of the story. Operas are kind of like that too, but they are vastly different. I’ll explain someday. I make my own “moving pictures” on a website called Vimeo, and you can watch them here, if you want to. I love Harry Potter, which is a story about a boy wizard who goes to a magic school, very much, and Doctor Who, which is a television show (a series of several moving pictures) about an alien man who travels through time in a telephone box. They’re both quite lovely. I’m so glad that I get to share my thoughts with you, I have a feeling this will be lots of fun (“Fun” is something you like to do.)!
